MTOAT Consultation

As many of you will know, the educational landscape has continued to evolve in recent years. Amidst these changes, we’ve been thoughtfully exploring how we can best secure a bright, sustainable future for our school community — for our children, for you as families, and for the staff and governors who care so deeply about CGPS. We’ve been reflecting on how we can grow and strengthen as a school while staying true to who we are — a small, nurturing school with a big heart and a distinctive identity.

After much research and reflection, our Governing Body has entered positive conversations with Merchant Taylors’ Oxfordshire Academy Trust (MTOAT) — a trust we’ve already been working with in a shadow MAT arrangement during the 2024–25 academic year. This experience has given us a chance to see the potential benefits of closer collaboration, and we now feel ready to open a formal consultation with all of you about the possibility of CGPS becoming part of this trust.

We know that change brings questions — and rightly so. That’s why we are inviting you to be part of this important conversation.
