Anglo-Saxon and Viking day

Eirik the Viking visited us to help us with our Anglo-Saxon and Viking topic.  We explored when they arrived in Britain, why they came and where they came from.  We also looked at clothing, weapons, traditional games and similarities between Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.  We explored famous Kings, important battles and key moments in history.  The day ended with some traditional spear wrestling.
