💦 FREE Water Safety Sessions for Children – Open Weekend at Abbey Sport Centre! 💦
DATE: SATURDAY 18TH JULY - 11.30-12.30PM
Join us for a fun and educational FREE Water Safety Weekend at Abbey Sport Centre, helping children in our community build confidence and learn vital lifesaving skills.
Water safety is an essential life skill. Teaching children how to recognise hazards, respond in an emergency, and stay safe around water can make a real difference.
🌊 What children will learn:
✅ The Water Safety Code
✅ How to spot dangers in and around water
✅ What to do if they or someone else gets into trouble
✅ How to respond safely without putting themselves at risk
👕 Don't forget to bring your pyjamas!
Children will take part in activities wearing pyjamas to experience how clothing feels in the water and practise important self-rescue skills.

Re: After School Football Club
I am delighted to let you know that we will continue to run the after school football club on Fridays and the club will start again on Friday 4th September for year groups 2 to 6.
Our weekly after school football sessions are for both boys and girls and all abilities are welcome to attend. Our courses and sessions are designed to improve all aspects of your child’s skills and techniques, irrespective of their sporting ability, and develop those skills whilst enjoying learning in a positive environment. Our mission is to promote excellence in the pursuit of development, in a fun and challenging session. Every participant will come away accepting the importance of hard work, healthy living, team concepts and the significance of giving their best every time.
The club will start straight after school on Friday 4th September for a total of 13 weeks ending on Friday 11th December and the charge will be £91.00. If you would like to enroll your child onto the club then please email us on liam@grassroots-coaching.co.uk as soon as possible with the following details:

If your child is successful in gaining a place in the club then please ensure they come with suitable clothing i.e. shorts or joggers, trainers, warm sweatshirt or jumper, shin pads and a waterproof coat if necessary. Please be aware the club cannot take place inside but we will only cancel if the weather is really bad.
