We follow the PSHE Association scheme of work.
Relationships Education
‘The Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (England) Regulations 2019, made under sections 34 and 35 of the Children and Social Work Act 2017, make Relationships Education compulsory for all pupils receiving primary education and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) compulsory for all pupils receiving secondary education’ Department of education.'
CG is a Church of England Primary School therefore we deliver a curriculum in line with our ethos & national guidance:
- Relationships Education - Compulsory: through PHSE curriculum using SPSHE Association scheme of work
- Science - Compulsory: as per the National Curriculum (see science curriculum page)
- Optional sex education Year 6: details are shared with parents prior to this optional session. Sex education is NOT taught in other years.
